Description
Painted on the 'party wall' is the landscape scene that shows a doorway with stairway to the ground and an archway such as one might visualize at one of California's Spanish missions. The scene includes a large paainted window, vines and a gargoyle fountain. The wall surface to be painted was sandblasted, but the remainder of the old brick was ledt untouched.Clapp said he obtained his ideas from visiting missions. He said the doorway and staicase come from mission he visited, and that the archway represents a dream world.
