Primarily known as an Architectural Sculptor, John Edward Svenson was raised in Ontario, educated at Scripps and lives in Upland. His distingished list of commissions includes works for corporations, churches, airports, civic centers, and malls. In 1952, he began a long association with the fair which resulted in some of the most unique attractions, including Storybook Farm, children's playground, Ranchero amd the monorail.
