When Stovepipe Wells first came up it looked like this -- tents and small wooden huts. [on sign] The Bottle House Preserved as an historic relic by the Beatty Improvement Association Restored January 1925 by the Famous Players -- Lasky Corp. Paramound Pictures. Do Not Molest. The new sign in front of the Rhyolite bottle house says: "Restored, January 1925 by the Famous Players -- Lasky Corp." Sign has long since vanished.
