Dr. Frank W. Thomas was one of the founders of the Hospital Association and was the first doctor to act as the president of the Board of Directors. Also he was Dean of the Faculty of the Training School for Nurses Gift from Charlotte (Thomas) Palmer Spring 1954 In Memoriam Frank M. Thomas, A. B., M. D. Dr. Thomas died at his home 441 Harvard St., Claremont, January 12, 1918, of gastric carcinoma, and was buried in Oak Park Cemetery, Claremont. He was born in Dublin, Ohio, September 4, 1853. His mother, nee Laura Hutchinson, was also born in Dublin, Ohio, on January 25, 1819, and his father Daniel W. Thomas was born in Columbus, Ohio, in 1817, both of Welsh and English ancestry. Dr. Thomas was married to Miss Mary Lee on June 20, 1881. His widow and his daughter, Miss Charlotte Josephine Thomas, who was born in Dublin, Ohio, survive him.
